New independent appraisal practice board announced

The Appraisal Foundation announced it will create a new independent appraisal practice board that shall focus on providing guidance to appraisers on timely valuation issues. The new board will monitor market surveys to help identify current issues that affect the appraisal profession.
The new board will solicit qualified persons who are experts in the field who are willing to volunteer their time to serve on panels who will draft material that deals with the issues. Their material will be reviewed and approved by the board.
The Appraisal Foundation expects to have the new board in place by July 2010. Persons interested in volunteering their time and expertise to serve on one of these panels should contact TAF after January 1, 2010.
